Advanced Nurse Practitioner's

Jean & Wendy are both experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner's (ANP). An ANP is able to prescribe medication. Jean and Wendy provide a key service for us and provides support directly to the doctors. Jean and Wendy can see you for minor illnesses such as sore throats, ear problems, urine infections, chest infections, rashes, medication reviews. Jean can also offer family planning service whilst managing our cervical smear screening system. with Wendy and our Practice Nurse Joanne. Appointments can be made through reception.

Nurse - Joanne Paul

Our Practice Nurse Joanne can help with a variety of health issues such as healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. Joanne provides chronic disease management support for our long-term health conditions such as Asthma COPD, Diabetes, CKD. Joanne can also provide cervical smears appointments.

Practice Management - Sharon Walker

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all aspects of the business such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Patient Care Admin Team

Our Patient Care Administrator's provide an important link for you on behalf of the practice and the doctors. They will, of course, ask you for the reason for your call. The administrator's are trained in what we call Care Navigation. With these skills they are able to advise and triage you to the right person and the right care where possible. You can of course keep your reasons for wanting an appointment, private. Patient Care Administrators make most of our patient appointments with the GPs and our Nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims forms, work flow all hospital and discharge letters to the doctors for review, preparing patient records for patients or on behalf of medical legal teams, carry out clinical searches to target patient groups for recall and monitoring whilst registering new patients and exporting patients leavers. Health Visitor - Gillian Burns

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
